Boolegon (Sunfree) shade programing

I am trying to add a new roller shade to my Bond Bridge and having problems. I’ve managed to get it to capture the commands from the remote, but it fails to operate the shade.

Shade Brand: Boolegon (from Amazon)
Remote: AC2211-01B FCC ID: 2A7KZ-221101 433.880 MHZ (Sunfree)
Motor: AM25LE/A-1.1/20 FCC ID: 2A7KZ-1520628

I tried a bunch of other brand preset options, but couldn’t find one that would pair, so added it as “Other” and picked up the commands individually. Despite it showing that it successfully added the commands, none of them work. I even tried to add the S button from the back of the remote (used to jog/pair to motor) as the Preset command and tried to pair it to the motor that way. Still nothing works.

There is no information on amazon that claims compatiblility with Bond control system.

I suggest to return it and buy a compatible product also available from amazon.

Unfortunately. it was a custom roller shade that is non-refundable. While I understand it didn’t specifically mention compatibility with the Bond Bridge, I assumed it would work, as it’s a pretty popular remote/motor combo used in the generic Amazon shades. Also, it works on a frequency that the Bond covers. The weird part, is that it appears to capture the remote keys fine, when adding it as “Other” shade, but still won’t operate it. My options at this point are: 1) just use the remote, 2) find and buy a compatible hub, 3) swap the motor out for one that’s compatible with Bond, or 4) hope that Bond adds it to their list in the near future.

My comment was ment as a reminder for many who have become interested in the growing opportunities for small and larger adaptations of home automation and related pitfalls when making purchase decisions without the necessary investigation of existing constraints. Unfortunately your experience is rather often and brings lots of frustrations when unexpected complications get in the way of a relative straight forward implementation. My personal experience over several years advancing automation in my home has not been without dissapointments on many fronts.
