Bond Pro with SOMFY Movelite 35 wireless

I installed 4 Somfy Movelite and a Bond pro. The commands only get to the motors from time to time. Sometimes it works. sometime not, sometimes after 4 commands sent. It’s very annoying to program a schedule which then is not working. The bond pro is visible from the motors ± 3 to 5 meters. The somfy remote is working.
Anyone has this problem too and a solution ?

Thanks for your support
Rudolf

Hi Rudolf, welcome to the forum!

In order to understand your situation better, please give us some details about the failure situation:

1. all 4 motors operate on their own Somfy remote?

  1. operating 1 motor at a time with Bond, does it shows the same iffy work-notwork behavior?
  2. are you grouping motors via remote or Bond?

Good morning Joachim

Thanks for your feedback. The installation is as follows:

2 Movelite WireFree 35 RTS with a somfy Situo 5 RTS Pure II on channel 1 and 2. There is a grouping on the situo for all curtains. This is working fine.

1 Bond pro, connected to the 2 Movelite WireFree 35 RTS. I don’t use grouping. The test now: close not working, open not working (it’s open), 2 more times, then closing is working, the manual commands in the Bond App are now working. I set the schedule, bond pro is flickering, no reaction of the motor! It’s absolutely unpredictable…

I have also a standard Bond with somfy blinds, this is working better, only the distance is not good, that’s why I bought the pro for the newly installed curtains.

Thanks for your help

Good morning Rudolf!

It seems, you have signal quality problems.

Let me explain my experience with operating 5 Somfy outside shades on the periphery of my 1 story 2900sqf home with a Bond in the center which requires the signal to passing at least 2 walls with cabinets.

1. All shades are individually connected to the Bond as shade(1,2,3,4,5) and are proven to work each individually on a Bond command. This proved that the learning process of each has been successful.

  1. Then I created 2 groups on the multichannel remote, named shade13 and shade45 which represent the actual use conditions of simultanious open/close operation due to east/south orientation.
  2. Then learning Bond these new quasi shades.
  3. With that the operation is working flawlessly on Bond and Alexa with Bond skill.

This procedure accomplishes 2 things:

a} actually true simultaneous operation (no popcorn behavior)

b) minimal signal interference (avoiding multiple signals from Bond to trigger each shade individually)
