Each day a different subset of my blinds open and close as scheduled

I have 6 newly installed (2 months) Somfy motorized blinds in a room; one is battery-powered, and the other five are hard-wired back to a control board. When using the Somfy 16-channel remote, channel 16 is the “all” channel and controls all blinds with a single push of the button. I can control each blind individually by choosing channel 1 though 6 if needed.

I have a Bond Pro in my equipment rack connected to a Unifi switch via PoE.

When using the Somfy remote, everything functions as expected 100% of the time.

When I added the blinds, I had the Bond Pro learn the “all” channel, and then setup schedules to open in the morning and close at night.

Each day, a different subset of the blinds open and close as scheduled. There doesn’t seem to be a pattern or the same number each time. Could be 3 open one day, and 5 another day. 4 could open in the morning, but only 2 close at night.

When using the Bond app, it doesn’t matter how many times I tap open or close, the out of sync windows will not respond; however, if I hit the button on the remote, the windows respond and close or open as expected.

I’ve tried removing and re-pairing from the Bond app. I’ve tried recreating the schedules, I’ve tried powering off/on the Pro. I’ve tried flipping the room’s breaker. The only thing I can think of that I’ve avoided, is adding each blind individually and creating a group schedule, because that would be a bit of a PITA and I don’t believe what I’m trying to do is out of scope for how the Pro is expected to operate.

Oh and I’m on the latest firmware - but this issue has persisted through multiple FW versions, both beta and general release.

Sorry for so much info, but hopefully someone has experienced this and has ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris, this looks to be strange from my experience with Somfy blinds.
In order to get things better understood:
Who programmed the common channel on the remotes?
Has the schedule anything to do with the operability of simultaneous action of the blinds?
In case you trigger a close or open action from your bond interface manually and interrupt it half way. Restarting the process again: does the expected action proceeds or do you see failure conditions get corrected and/or new failures occur when the process ends?

In case that the failure occurred is the Bond status of the blinds consistent with the actual or the expected?
This could give a hint of communication issues. A repeat of the same process with different results would suggest signal instability on the bond side. Which means the recording taken from the remote is not optimal.

Thanks!

The Somfy installer programmed the remote. I just recorded the all channel to the Bond. Using the Bond interface does not improve the behavior.

I’ve tried deleting and re-recording, but no improvement.

Chris

Sorry, chalk this one up to signal strength issues I guess.

I dug through my garage and found my old Bond Bridge (non-pro). Once I set it up again and recorded the all channel, I placed that Bond in the same room as the blinds. So far all 6 blinds open and close as expected. Note that the Pro was only about 40 feet away from the blinds, but maybe there’s interference or something?

It’s also strange that despite toggling up/down many times while testing, the same blinds would remain unresponsive. I would’ve expected different blinds to respond (or not respond) each time I tried if it was a signal issue. Couple that with it affecting a different subset of blinds every day, and I’m still a little puzzled.

Nonetheless, it’s working right now! I’ll report back here if the issue reoccurs over the next week or so.
