Smartthings Not Updating

I notice that if I turn on a switch in bond or change the fan speed in Smartthings, the action takes effect (so the speed will change or light turn on/off), but I have to then manually refresh the device in the app for the device status to change. Using Home Assistant or Homebridge in tandem with this confirms it–the status doesn’t change until I manually refresh the device in SmartThings. It wasn’t always like this. Any idea why this integration isn’t working?

P.S. It’s the same in the Bond app. I can power on a device in the Bond app but until I manually refresh the device in Smartthigns, the status won’t update.

It indicates that the devices are not bi-directional communicating with the controllers. Zigbee devices have this build-in feature that a state change is also communicated back from the device to connected controllers.
What seems to be missing is a controller to controller communication when a device change is introduced by signal from one controller and not passed on beween the different controllers to update the ongoing changes on devices no matter who is triggering the change.
