I just received a Bond Bridge and ran into an issue trying to set up our Gaposa roller shades. Maybe this will help someone else with the same issue.
App version 2.52.0-master3, Bridge firmware 4.7.1.2 in case it matters at all
Our Gaposa remote control is a QCTZ02 5-channel remote.
When I tried to set up the first shade in the Bond app, I chose Shades and then Gaposa. The app asks you to Press the PROG button on the remote control until the shade starts moving. I pressed the 1 button on the remote for the 1st Shade and then pressed the SYNC switch on the remote and the shade started moving so I let the switch go and clicked “Yes” in the app to indicate the shade moved. The app then displayed a screen with a Pair button with instructions to press the button and then indicate again, whether the shade moved. When I pressed the Pair button, the shade did not move so I was stuck at this point as the only two choices were “YES” or “shade did not move”. Clicking “shade did not move” took me to the Help/Support screen.
I read the QCTZ02 documentation on how to pair a 2nd remote with the shades and the documentation indicates to press the SYNC switch until the shade moves, note the direction the shade moves and then press the corresponding open or close button ON THE NEW REMOTE.
I went back to the Bond app and tried again, this time when the Pair button screen came up, I pressed Pair and immediately pressed the “YES” button. Then the next screen presented three buttons - Open, Close and Stop. I pressed the Open button for the direction the screen had been moving and then was able to continue with and complete the setup for the shade.
When I went to set up the 2nd shade, the app moved through the “Pair” screen without forcing choice of “Yes” or “screen did not move” and I was able to successfully set up the 2nd shade without issue.
Maybe there is a bug in the app that presents the “Yes” or “screen did not move” on the Pair screen for the Gaposa shades?? Or maybe I did something wrong?? Who knows but the shades are set up and working fine now.
You should be able to hit the Pair button again, or even go “back” in the app to the previous screen to try the pairing procedure again.
But thanks for sharing your narrative.
I did try multiple times to click the Pair button or go back and restart the pairing and the shade never moved and always offered the choice of “YES” or “shade did not move”. It did not seem correct to click “YES” when the shade did not move in response to the Pair button. It would be more correct if, for the Gaposa shade, the app did not display the Pair button but instead displayed the Open and Close button and instructed the user to click the button that corresponded to the direction that the shade moved in the 1st step when the SYNC button on the Gaposa remote is pressed. Then the app instructions would match the Gaposa documentation for pairing remotes.
