Universal remote recommendations with state (discreet on/off)

I’m looking to replace a few ceiling fan remote modules with ones Bond can know the state of or that has discreet on/off options for both the fan and lights for use with ST via IFTTT for now until full ST integration is ready, and hoping someone can provide a suggestion for a reliable remote for this? With my current remote Bond doesn’t know the current state and so when IFTTT sends an off command it just toggles the lights so most of the time they come on rather than turn off.

EDIT: Please consider a Smart by Bond kit instead. It has built-in WiFi and so it always knows the correct state, and you get state feedback upon changes made with the factory remote. It has a flexible light dimmer that transmits the full state of the device with each transmission.

It’s only 3-speed though.

This thread is a bit old, so I am curious if the remote that you suggested is still your go-to device or are there other devices you would currently recommend for ceiling fan/light control. I just purchased a Bond with a new ceiling fan and I would like to begin to convert some other fans over as well.

I updated my earlier post. Indeed we’ve got a better mousetrap now.
