Issue with firmware v3.5

I have 3 Minka Aire Sleek Fans (F868L-CL/CL). One of my fans stopped responding to the app and wall control, I went through the standard troubleshooting steps, checking connections, etc. I couldn’t figure out the problem.

Two days ago I updated the firmware on a second fan in my house to v3.5…that fan now has the same symptoms and is completely non-functional (no wifi connection, no response to wall remote, etc.). Looking at the app, both fans that aren’t responding are listed as being on v3.5. I have 1 more of the same model number fan, and that one is still working, and is on v3.22.4.

Is there anything I can do to roll back firmware, reset or recover from this?

I realize now that the v3.5 in the app is an old version that it probably defaults to when the fan is unreachable. I’m assuming that I updated to the current stable firmware for these fans and that caused the problem.

Have you reached out to Support in the Bond app?

I actually reached out to my dealer since that’s what it said to do on the Minka website. They just told me to bring the old Wi-Fi modules in and they swapped them out for me. Just installed the new ones, added them to the app and updated the firmware. Sorry this won’t help anyone else that experiences the same issue.

I spent 2 days with our fan not connecting to the app, I was trying anything I could to get it back into the app so I could control it from my phone. My final attempt to fix the issue was to go into my home network and delete the device from my network history, it was back online within minutes. Hopefully it’s a permanent fix.
