I installed the beta firmware about a week ago and the fan is still broadcasting a signal even though it is showing as connected to the internet.
Shows v4.4.4-beta is the latest version for this model of fan.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to get it to stop emitting a signal.
Good evening @merck,
Hoping I can still get some insight on how to keep the fan from broadcasting a signal. Beta installed.
Good morning @merck @jacob,
I’m following up again about the Bond fan continuing to broadcast a WiFi signal, even while connected to the internet.
- I’ve tested both v4.4.4-beta and v3.22.3-beta (currently shown as the latest in the app).
- The issue persists across both versions.
- I’ve power cycled the fan after installing the firmware.
- The fan is broadcasting an open (unsecured) network.
- I’ve included an updated screenshot showing the signal still being emitted.
I live in a townhome community where WiFi signals are already crowded. This unsecured network adds interference and creates unnecessary noise on the spectrum, which is frustrating.
If this is expected behavior or there’s no way to disable the broadcast, please confirm that. If a fix exists or is in progress, I’d appreciate guidance on how to apply it.
And if current firmware cannot address this, can you confirm whether it’s being considered for a future update?
Looking forward to a clear answer so I can either resolve the issue or move on.
Thanks.

signed up just to follow this topic… same issue as others, bond is on an IOT VLAN with no internet access, it will go into config mode and start broadcasting it’s own SSID. need to have an option to disable this behavior.
edit testing this, looks good so far
