It would be great to allow two bond bridge pros to work in a redundant manner. This could work in a couple of ways - based on a current problem we’re having. If one bond goes offline due to a network or power issue allow the other bond to take over.
Essentially, allow both Bonds to have the same database of devices and allow them to share resources depending on current device signal to improve performance.
Interesting. I’d be glad to hear more detail about the issues you’re facing and what you are thinking for solutions.
Although we don’t support this directly, with many motor technologies you can get pretty close by doing backup and restore to another bridge, but you’d have to program the failover yourself on your integration, and the bond app would show duplicate devices.
But if any of the motors are RTS or NICE or some others that have “rolling codes” (really counters) then you’d need to very carefully keep the counters in sync, so the above would be a bust.
Instead you could pair additional “devices” to your motors from the second bridge. But it’s a bunch of work and has the same ergonomics issues as above.
