Bond Bridge IR Range Seems Really Short

I have been using the bond brige for some time with RF devices, works pretty well there. Just hooked up my first IR device, and it learns the commands fine from the remote, but as soon as i walk the Bridge more than 10 ft away from the device the signal no longer reaches it.

Is there a way to up the power on the IR commands?

The remote that came with the fan works from like 100+ ft away, and probably more (just cant get that far) but for some reason the Bond seems ot have a SUPER limited range for IR??

Are you sure it is IR as in infrared light? 100ft Sounds like an insanely good range for infrared.

It is, the bulb is exposed.

We did get a new AC unit and its remote is nowhere near as powerful, but still reaches farther than the Bond, thankfully the new AC has its own wifi app so i dont need the bond for it. But i do have a couple fans i would still love to be able to control.

Damn! Mine doesn’t even work from 7’ away and only works maybe 50% of the time from 6’. I need at least 12’ range, 5-6 foot is useless.

I was hoping maybe I had a defective unit, but apparently they are just pathetic.

FWIW I have a Tuya IR transmitter that works 100% from over 25’ away (I don’t have any rooms bigger than that.)
