V4.29.42 Mate Firmware Release [26Q1A]

We have also released an update for Mate today which is focused on bugfixes and improved stability and battery life.

What follows are changes since v4.27.8 which was the previous stable version.

New Features

  • Mate can supports “indicate” action, so that when you are configuring one of several Mates on your account, you can see which one you are talking to without consulting the serial number. You can ask the app to “indicate” and the Mate you are configuring will show a radar animation on the display.

Battery-Related

  • button backlights now only light up under low-light conditions, even when using the manual brightness control
  • we have adjusted the automatic brightness feature to conserve energy while maintaining visibility even in direct sun
  • we have also added device usage analytics (“Vitals”) which will allow us to better understand usage patterns and further optimize battery life

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • fix an issue where channel technology changes did not sync from Mate to the app
  • fix a crash when holding down buttons in Gaposa technology
  • fix Alpha technology
  • fix low battery animation
  • fix an issue where Mate would be hard to wake up via Bluetooth
  • adjust low-power advertising interval for better iOS discovery
  • for technologies with automatic All Channel, disabled channels now will not move when using Channel 00
  • fix an issue what could cause the Bluetooth to hang
