Ceiling fan light doesn't work on ONE ceiling fan with Alexa

I have two identical ceiling fans, ‘master fan’ and ‘kids fan’.

With the bond app, I can control both of them perfectly well, including fan functions (off, speed 1, 2, 3, off) and light (dimming, on, off).

Integrated with alexa, I get complete control over the kids fan (so “alexa, turn on kids fan light” works). However, with the master fan, Alexa claims sure, she’s doing it, but … no light status change. Fan works – “Alexa, turn on master fan” works perfectly fine. Just not the light.

Any suggestions/ideas?

A few questions:

  1. Does the Bond ring flash when you ask Alexa to turn on/off the light?

  2. Do you have “trust state” enabled in device settings?

  3. If you press the light button just once on the fans remote, and then try Alexa again, does it work?
