# Orange Bond, James Bond

Good morning, Woke to an Orange Bond this morning,
Device grayed out on iPhone, pulled out power from bond,
let it reboot (pulsing blue for a few mins)
It said it needed a Firmware update… Did it,
all back to normal
1. was this supposed to happen?
2. what where the updates?

Orange ring means the BOND does not have an IP address. This is definitely not supposed to happen, but some people have experienced the BOND loosing its IP address, which results in the Orange ring issue.
The firmware update (v1.110.2) fixes a few bugs which could cause that issue, and includes an updated WiFi driver.
