I hadn’t tried that. What’s the app call to trigger a reboot? Could be a helpful datapoint. ---

My experience with using code to trigger internal reboot of different devices has not been always effective but smart plug always did which is also the common approach in cloud centers I heard recently from a former service guy. ---

From Windows PowerShell: curl.exe -i -X PUT “http://YOUR\_BOND\_IP\_HERE/v2/sys/reboot” -H “BOND-Token: YOUR\_BOND\_TOKEN\_HERE” -H “Content-Type: application/json” -d “{}” I suppose the next time the issue occurs, I’ll try doing this soft-reboot on the Bond to see if it fixes the issue before power cycling the Bond as I usually do. The issue is intermittent for me - sometimes I’ll have a few days without the issue. ---

This is an interesting condition since I struggle with 2 intermittent failures on WD mycloud and trane HVAC system control. The mycloud looses connection without showing up as failing device on my network hence I can’t trigger the remote reboot. The Trane control board ends up in a dead end when attempting a self reset and needs a 2+ min power off period before restart works. IN both cases a smart on/off plug is used to automatically restart the systems successfully. BTW, I use the same for bond, just in case I am out of town. ---

9 days without issue so far (after I started using a 5AM daily reboot automation). ---

Been a couple months since I started using an automation to reboot the Bond at 5AM every morning, and have only encountered this issue a few times since doing so (maybe 3 times over the last 2 months), versus every few days before I started the daily reboot. Would still like to determine the root of the issue, but this is definitely a big improvement. ---

That’s good to hear! After I switched off my use of set position I kinda put this on the back burner. I’m going to change that back and see if the issue is still present. If so I’ll do the reboot thing as well. Is there an API call for the reboot? If not I can have HA power cycle the PoE port. ---
