# AHAWILL fan remote not recognized by Bond Bridge

I have the [AHAWILL 19.7" ceiling fan and light](https://a.co/d/3L8qkGL). It has a remote and an app, but doesn’t natively connect to smart home ecosystems. I was hoping to use the Bond Bridge to link it to Alexa. Unfortunately, the Bridge never recognizes the remote’s commands (I’ve tried several buttons). The Bridge works with other ceiling fans in my home, so I’m reasonably sure it’s an issue with this specific ceiling fixture.

What troubleshooting steps can I work through to find a solution? Is there a way to identify the frequencies used by the remote, or can the Bridge be manually configured to send the appropriate RF signals to the fan?

Update: I’ve decided to return (or resell) the Bond Bridge. Good idea, but I don’t need the extra complication.

Would require the FCC ID of the remote, or manual tricks to see if it’s IR or RF or BLE.
